Alabama Crimson Tide Game Notes
The Crimson Tide improved to 4-1 on the season after their decisive 40-17 road win versus the Mississippi State Bulldogs. It was a team effort for the Tide in Week 4 as QB Jalen Milroe and running back Jase McClellan accounted for three rushing touchdowns combined. Alabama defensively had a very strong showing in Starkville, forcing three interceptions, and only allowing 107 total passing yards. Alabama will need another collective team effort in College Station to secure a road victory.
Texas A&M Aggies Game Notes
Texas A&M is coming off a strong showing in week 5, where they defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks 34-22 in Dallas. Max Johnson delivered in his first career start for the Aggies, throwing for 210 yards and two touchdowns. The main area of concern for Johnson will be to limit the turnovers, Johnson lost two fumbles and threw an INT against the Razorbacks. Against a tough Alabama defense, ball security will be key.

Alabama vs. Texas A&M BETTING PREDICTION
This year’s matchup does not presume to be a shootout like the last time these teams met at College Station in 2021, where A&M knocked off the Tide in a 41-38 thriller.
The 2023 Crimson Tide have struggled much of the year finding their identity on offense. Last week looked better hanging 40 points on an inferior Miss State team, however they still have some question marks offensively, especially if they fall behind. They are going to be facing a tough Texas A&M defense that is only allowing 253.8 yards per game, which puts them at 5th in the country in that category.
Offensively for A&M, LSU transfer Max Johnson has had to step in relief for the injured Connor Weigman, he is more than capable of leading a team, however he is facing an Alabama defense that has looked good this year, besides the loss to Texas.
I don’t really have an opinion on the side here, but with a close game expected l like the Under. Neither team is going to look to throw the ball 40 times like in years past. Look for the clock to stay moving in this one, as for both teams will try to establish the run game, play good defense and not take many unnecessary chances.
