Players Shocked Over Petrino Firing
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) – Arkansas players described feelings of shock and disappointment and are rallying around what’s left of the current coaching staff following Bobby Petrino’s firing.
Several of the Razorbacks and the team’s coaches spoke for the first time Friday night following a scrimmage during spring practice in Razorback Stadium.

Petrino was fired Tuesday for failing to disclose his relationship with football staffer Jessica Dorrell and withholding other information, including that he had once given her $20,000 for a car.
Arkansas quarterback and running back Knile Davis said they had no idea of Petrino’s relationship with Dorrell.
Razorbacks offensive coordinator Paul Petrino, brother of Bobby Petrino, also said he had no idea – and that he will support his brother, who he said is paying for his mistakes.
