Arkansas HC Sam Pittman’s first positive test for COVID-19 has been confirmed, ruling him out to coach Saturday’s game at Florida. Arkansas announced on Monday that Pittman tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday, and it was awaiting the result of the follow-up test before determining the course of action for this weekend’s game at Florida. With the second test confirming the results of the first Pittman, who is working with his team virtually while in isolation, will not travel with the team this weekend. DC Barry Odom is serving as the team’s interim head coach, and he’ll be the one in charge Saturday in Gainesville.
Florida Gators Game Notes
Florida redshirt senior QB Kyle Trask threw for four touchdowns with an interception with 474 yards on 30-of-43 passing on Saturday in a 44-28 win over Georgia. Trask’s interception was returned for a touchdown, so if you wanted to joke that he threw for five touchdowns, you could. You shouldn’t, as Trask was far too good to be mocked on Saturday. The 6-foot-5, 239-pound signal-caller found four different receivers for scores, and it’s the fifth-straight game that the redshirt senior has thrown that many touchdowns. If Trask wasn’t on the Heisman radar before this — he absolutely was — he should be ranked among the favorites. The Gators have a commanding lead now in the SEC East, and it sure seems likely they extend that lead next Saturday against Arkansas.
Arkansas vs. Florida Betting Prediction
The Razorbacks are a perfect 8-0 against the spread in their last eight games overall, are 8-0 against the number in their last eight games as an underdog and are 4-0 against the spread in their last four road games. With Florida coming off a huge win last Saturday against Georgia, coupled with Arkansas’ recent ATS streak, might as well stuff the 17.5 points in your back pocket with the Hogs tonight.
