Arkansas Razorbacks Game Notes

Arkansas redshirt senior QB Feleipe’ Franks 21-of-34 passing for 244 yards and an interception in a 33-21 win over Ole Miss on Saturday. Franks (6’6/228) wasn’t fooling around today: He targeted young stud WR Treylon Burks early and often. Burks had 11 catches, more than half of Franks’ completions. Franks, a former Florida phenom turned steady veteran, has played solid ball for the Razorbacks. OC Kendal Briles can cull value from the two things Franks does well: Stretch the defense horizontally with his legs and gigantic frame, and vertically with moon shots. Those skills open up enough space for Franks to get by everywhere else – especially when Burks is locked-in. The resurgent 2-2 Razorbacks have a tough matchup next week at Texas A&M.

Texas A&M Aggies Game Notes

Texas A&M jumped from 11th to ninth in the coaches poll this week following their win over Mississippi State. The Aggies are the only fresh face in the top-10 this week. With North Carolina fall out after their upset loss and Group of Five squad Cincinnati sticking put at 10th, Texas A&M were able to wiggle up a couple of spots. The Aggies’ only loss on the year so far is Alabama, so it isn’t like they should be expected to be any higher right now, either. The Aggies face Arkansas in two weeks to defend their top 10 spot.

Arkansas vs. Texas A&M Betting Prediction

The under is 4-1 in the Razorbacks’ last five games overall, is 9-3 in their last 12 road games and is 4-1 in their last five conference matchups. The under is also 4-0 in the Aggies’ last four games when favored, is 6-2 in their last eight games overall and is 10-4 in their last 14 games played in the month of October. The under is 8-0 in Texas A&M’s last eight games after accumulating less than 170 yards passing in its previous contest as well.
