Army vs. Navy College Football Week 15 Predictions 12/10/16

Army vs. Navy Prediction

After Navy has won 14 consecutive games in the series, will Army pull off the upset today at M&T Bank Stadium at 3:00PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Midshipmen are now 4.5-point favorites versus the Black Knights while the total sits at 47.5 points. Navy opened as an 11.5-point favorite but due to injuries, the spread dropped significantly before settling in at 4.5. The total also fell, going from 51.5 down to 47.5.

Bet Today’s Army vs. Navy Matchup

NAVY KEY TRENDS: The Midshipmen are 17-8-1 against the spread in their last 26 games overall, are 11-5-1 against the number in their last 17 games coming off a loss of more than 20 points, and are a perfect 6-0 at the betting window in their last six games after scoring less than 20 points in their previous game.

ARMY KEY TRENDS: The Black Knights have been a great bet in December, covering in five of their last six games in this month. They’re also 5-2 against the spread in their last seven neutral site games, are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games versus AAC opponents, and are 5-2 at the betting window in their last seven neutral site games.

OUR PREDICTION: After losing 14 consecutive times to their rivals, today could be the best opportunity Army has had in quite a while to knock off Navy. The Midshipmen lost two of their best players on one play last Saturday in the American Athletic Conference championship, which wound up being a loss to Temple. Toneo Gulley and quarterback Will Worth are both out of the rest of the season and aren’t the only Navy players that could miss today’s game versus Army. Fullback Chris High (ankle), safeties Jerry Thompson (ankle) and Kyle Battle (knee), cornerback Elijah Merchant (concussion), guard Marcus Edwards (personal), linebacker Josiah Powell (leg), receiver Craig Scott (undisclosed), and slot-backs Joshua Walker, Dishan Romine and Darryl Bonner are all questionable for today’s game. Even though most of the value has been taken out of today’s line, Army at +4.5 is still the best bet on the board.
