Baylor won its last five games of the season to go 11-1 on the year and 8-1 in the Big 12, earning a share of the title. The Bears were just left out of the College Football Playoff, which could lead to a motivated effort today. The Bears were 7-4-1 against the spread this season, but just 3-4 ATS in their last 7 games. Baylor hit the over in six of its last 10 games.

Michigan State closed the season on a three-game win streak to go 10-2 on the season and 7-1 in the Big Ten. The Spartans had both of their losses come against playoff teams in Oregon and Ohio State. MSU was 8-4 against the spread on the year, covering in its last three and five of its last six. The Spartans hit the over in seven of their last 10 games.

According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Baylor is the slim favorite in this one, as the Bears are getting odds of -2.5 points against Michigan State. The over/under total for the game has been set at 69 points (View Matchup). These two have no recent meetings.

Both teams can pile up the points, but the difference in this one could be the defenses. MSU has a defense that allows just 293.5 yards per game while Baylor is giving up just under 370 yards per game. In that same breath, Baylor does have an offense that produces more yards, but Michigan State will look to play ball control behind running back Jeremy Langford, who has rushed for 1,360 yards and 19 touchdowns this season. MSU will have its hands full with Baylor quarterback Bryce Petty, who has thrown for 3,305 yards and 26 touchdowns on the year.
