Baylor Bears Game Notes
Blake Shapen completed 28 of 40 passes for 345 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions in Saturday’s 36-25 loss to Oklahoma State. Shapen was able to record multiple touchdowns for the third time this year, however, he also had multiple turnovers for the first time this season. Those two interceptions turned out to be too costly as Baylor fell to Oklahoma State in a crucial conference match-up early in the season. The 345 passing yards were a season-high as he connected with Monaray Baldwin for a pair of long scores. Shapen and the Bears will be off next week before playing at West Virginia on Oct. 13.
West Virginia Mountaineers Game Notes
J.T. Daniels completed 29 of 48 passes for 253 yards and a touchdown in Saturday’s 38-20 loss at Texas. Daniels’ attempted a season-high 48 passes as the Mountaineers were fighting from behind the entire game against the Longhorns. After starting the season with a couple of decent fantasy performances, Daniels has just one touchdown pass in each of his last three games. West Virginia is off next week before hosting Baylor on Oct. 13.
