Oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI currently list Alabama as a 9.5-point favorite over Michigan State in the No. 2 vs. No. 3 matchup, while Clemson is a 4-point underdog versus Oklahoma despite being the top seed in this year’s playoff.

Our College Football Public Betting page shows that a whopping 78% of bettors are taking the Spartans and the 9.5 points in the first matchup, while 58% are nabbing the Tigers as a 4-point dog versus the Sooners. This information is subject to change over the next few weeks, but it’s interesting nonetheless that bettors are attracted to the underdog early.

As for the totals, the Oklahoma-Clemson number is sitting at 65 points with oddsmakers expecting a shootout, and the MSU-Bama over/under is sitting at 49 points with oddsmakers expecting more of a defensive struggle. The only significant line movement that has already occurred is the Tide going from an 8.5-point favorite up to -9.5.
