According to oddsmakers at MyBookie.ag, Iowa is favored on the road in this game, but not by much. The Hawkeyes are getting odds of -1.5 points at Nebraska today, while the over/under total has been set at 58 points. These two meet today at 3:30PM ET on ABC.

Iowa continues to be the surprise team in the mix for the playoffs. At 11-0 on the season, Iowa is now 7-0 in the Big Ten and 6-5 against the spread. Iowa has already locked up the Big Ten West and will be in next week’s Big Ten Championship, but it needs a win to keep its playoff hopes alive. Iowa matches up evenly with the 5-6 Cornhuskers on offense, as both average right around 34 points per game, but the real difference between the two is the Iowa defense.

Iowa is 17th in the nation in scoring defense (18.5 ppg), 16th in total defense (322.5 ypg) and seventh in rushing defense (107.5). Nebraska is 74th in scoring defense (27.7 ppg) and 81st in total defense (415.4). Still, Iowa isn’t getting much respect on the betting line today. Both teams are just 6-5 against the spread on the season, but this game is nearly a pick em for an unbeaten team playing against a sub-.500 squad in the season finale. Also consider that Iowa is a perfect 4-0 against the spread on the road this season.
