According to oddsmakers at MyBookie, Michigan State is favored at home, as the Spartans are getting odds of -15 points against the Terps. The over/under total for the game has been set at 56.5 points. These two met last year with Michigan State picking up a 37-15 win on the road.

Michigan State is 8-1 on the season, 4-1 in the Big Ten, 2-7 against the spread and 5-4 with the over. The Spartans are coming off a 39-38 loss at Nebraska last week for their first loss. MSU blew a two-score lead in the final minutes of the contest. MSU is now averaging 33.9 points and 422.3 yards per game on offense while the defense is allowing 24 points and 372.3 yards per contest. Connor Cook has had a very strong year, throwing for 2,395 yards and 21 touchdowns to lead the offense while Aaron Burbridge has caught 61 passes for 984 yards and six touchdowns. LJ Scott is the leading rusher with 507 yards and nine scores.

Maryland is 2-7 on the year, 0-5 in the Big Ten, 6-3 against the spread and 5-3-1 with the over. The Terrapins are coming off a 31-24 loss to Wisconsin at home for their sixth straight loss. Maryland is averaging just 23.9 points and 341.2 yards per game on offense this season while the defense is giving up 33.4 points and 411.9 yards per game. Brandon Ross and Perry Hills have combined for 1,027 rushing yards and six scores while Hills has thrown for 845 yards and eight touchdowns, but also has 11 interceptions.
