According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Temple is the favorite in today’s game, as the Owls are getting odds of -2.5 points against Toledo tonight. The over/under total for the game has been set at 49.5 points. These two meet at 7PM ET on ESPN. The game takes place from FAU Football Stadium in Boca Raton, FL.

The story of this game looks to be about the Toledo offense against the Temple defense. The Rockets (9-2, 8-2-1 ATS) are putting up 35.3 points and 463.8 yards per game this season, averaging over 200 yards on both the ground and in the air. The Owls (10-3, 9-4 ATS) bring a stout defense to the field, allowing just 19.2 points and 329.2 yards per game. Both of those numbers rank in the top 20 of all of college football.

In Temple’s last two losses, they were carved up on the ground. In a 24-13 loss to Houston on Dec. 5, the Owls gave up 233 yards rushing to Houston. In a 44-23 loss to South Florida on Nov. 14, the Bulls put up 326 rushing yards. Making things tougher for Temple today is that Toledo has two backs it can utilize. Kareem Hunt has run for 894 yards and 10 touchdowns this season while Terry Swanson has 870 yards and seven scores on the ground. Hunt has rushed for over 110 yards in four straight games, racking up nine touchdowns in that span. Swanson also has four 100-yard games this season and had at least 50 yards in eight of Toledo’s last nine. If Temple hasn’t found a way to shore up its run defense, it could be a long day for the Owls.
