Boston College Eagles Game Notes
Phil Jurkovec (knee) didn’t practice Tuesday, A.J. Black of Sports Illustrated reports. Jurkovec has yet to retake the field in any capacity since he suffered a knee injury during Boston College’s Week 9 matchup versus UConn. With that being said, Emmett Morehead, who replaced Jurkovec in Saturday’s loss to Duke and went 27-for-45 with 330 yards and four touchdowns, took the first team reps in Tuesday’s session, per Black. Even if the senior quarterback is eventually cleared for action this weekend against NC State, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Morehead trot out as the team’s starter given his impressive stat line in Week 10.
NC State Wolfpack Game Notes
MJ Morris completed 18-of-28 passes for 210 yards and three touchdowns. Morris added 19 carries for 43 yards in Saturday’s 30-21 win over Wake Forest. After the injury to Devin Leary, Jack Chambers took over at quarterback and struggled to bring much to the offense. Since taking over for Chambers late in the first quarter last week Morris has completed 67-percent of his passes for 475 yards and six touchdowns and has led the Wolfpack to back-to-back wins.
