Buffalo Bulls Game Notes

Buffalo senior QB Kyle Vantrease (undisclosed) is listed as the starter for next Tuesday’s game against Miami (OH). Vantrease (6’3/220) left early with a lower body injury in the second quarter in last Saturday’s 56-44 loss to Bowling Green. The extra time off seems to be beneficial because as of now he’s listed as the starter. Something can change as the game still isn’t for a few more days, but till then, it looks like you can pencil him under center at kickoff.

Miami Ohio Red Hawks Game Notes

Miami (OH) sophomore QB Brett Gabbert completed 20-of-24 passes for 207 yards with two touchdowns in a 24-17 win over Ball State on Saturday. While there wasn’t much down the field, Gabbert was very accurate with his throws on Saturday, and he finished drives with the pair of touchdown passes. The brother of former first-round pick Blaine has mostly struggled as the signal-caller for the WarHawks this year, but he has now thrown nine touchdown passes in his five games against two interceptions. Could be worse. Gabbert will likely be back under center for a Tuesday contest against Buffalo on November 2.
