According to oddsmakers at MyBookie.ag, Stanford is favored in this game, as the Cardinal are getting odds of -6 points against Iowa. The over/under total for the game has been set at 54.5 points. These two meet today at 5PM ET on ESPN. The game takes place from the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA.

McCaffrey, just a 6-1 sophomore for Stanford (11-2, 9-4 ATS), is one of the most dynamic players in college football. He has rushed for 1,847 yards and eight touchdowns while catching 41 passes for 540 yards and four touchdowns. He also has over 1,000 yards in kick returns, including a 98-yard return for a touchdown. For today’s bowl game, McCaffrey has been given an over/under of 148.5 rushing yards and 47.5 receiving yards.

Keeping McCaffrey in check will be tough, but Iowa (12-1, 7-5-1 ATS) is a physical defense that gives up just 334.2 total yards per game. The Hawkeyes rank 10th nationally in run defense, holding opponents to just 114.9 yards per game on the ground. McCaffrey has rushed for at least 94 yards in 11 straight games, getting 149 or more in five of those games. He’s also had at least 48 yards receiving in four games this year. Regardless of the opposing defense, Stanford is certain to make sure McCaffrey gets the ball in a variety of ways. He has had at least 22 rushing attempts in his last eight games. He just needs to break a run or two to hit his totals.
