Can Huskers stop Rosen?
Josh Rosen has had a nice freshman season for UCLA. Will he cap it off with a strong showing against Nebraska in the Foster Farms Bowl?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, UCLA is favored in this game, as the Bruins are getting odds of -6.5 points against Nebraska. The over/under total for the game has been set at 61 points. These two meet tonight at 9:15PM ET on ESPN. The game will be played at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, CA
Rosen has thrown for 3,351 yards and 20 touchdowns in his debut season with the Bruins (8-4, 5-6-1 ATS). The 6-4 freshman has had some struggles at times, but has continuously thrown for over 220 yards. For today’s game against Nebraska (5-7, 6-6 ATS) he has an over/under of 277.5 passing yards. Rosen has passed that mark in seven games this season.
On the other side of the field, Nebraska hopes to cap off a disappointing first season under Mike Riley with a win today. The Huskers haven’t been good against the pass, ranking 122nd nationally by allowing 288.2 yards per game. Rosen and head coach Jim Mora have to be salivating at the idea of playing against Nebraska, in essentially what is a road game for the Cornhuskers. 277.5 yards is probably a low projection for the freshman quarterback.
