According to oddsmakers at MyBookie, Alabama is favored on the road in this contest, as the Crimson Tide are getting odds of -8 points against the Bulldogs. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 51.5 points. Alabama has won its last seven meetings with Mississippi State, but the Bulldogs have covered the spread in three of the last four in this series. These two have pushed or hit the under in eight straight meetings.

Alabama is 8-1 on the season, 5-1 in the SEC, 4-5 against the spread and 6-3 with the under. The Crimson Tide are coming off a 30-16 win over LSU last week for its biggest win of the season. Bama has now won six straight games. The Tide rank seventh nationally in scoring defense at 16.3 ppg and they are third nationally in total defense at 265.3 yards per game. The offense is averaging 33.1 points and 423.2 yards per contest. Derrick Henry has run for 1,254 yards and 17 touchdowns to lead this offense while Jake Coker has thrown for 1,807 yards and 11 touchdowns. Calvin Ridley has added 52 receptions for 576 yards and three touchdowns.

Mississippi State is 7-2 on the season, 3-2 in the SEC, 6-3 against the spread and 5-4 with the under. The Bulldogs are coming off a 31-13 win at Missouri last week for their four straight win. Mississippi State is putting up 34.7 points and 443.4 yards per game this season while the defense is allowing 17.2 points and 369.3 yards per contest. Dak Prescott has thrown for 2,351 yards and 18 touchdowns with just one interception this year. He has also run for 418 yards and seven touchdowns. The leading receiver is De’Runnya Wilson, who has 36 receptions for 613 yards and eight touchdowns.
