After falling in their season opener to Houston, will Oklahoma take out their frustrations on Louisiana Monroe this Saturday at 7:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Sooners are 46.5-point home favorites versus the Warhawks while the over/under currently sits at 65 points. While the total hasn’t moved off the original number set by oddsmakers, the spread has jumped from Oklahoma -44 up to -46.5.

The Sooners were upset 33-23 by Houston last Saturday, losing outright as a 13-point favorite. Baker Mayfield took the blame for the loss despite completing 24-of-33 passes for 323 yards and two touchdowns. Joe Mixon also rushed six times for 40 yards with one touchdown while catching five passes for 77 yards in the loss.
The Warhawks led FCS opponent Southern by only two points at halftime but still won 38-21. Following the game, the program bragged via Twitter about being the only FBS team in Louisiana to win its opener. Quarterback Garrett Smith completed 20-of-33 passes for 208 yards and two touchdowns, but also threw two interceptions in the victory.

OUR EARLY PICK: One of two things is going to happen on Saturday night in Norman, either the Sooners are going to take all their frustrations out on the Warhawks following last weekend’s loss, or they’re going to have a hangover and sleepwalk through a victory. I’ll take the former. OU is 4-0 against the spread in its lat four games versus Sun Belt opponents and is 7-2 ATS in its lat nine games in September. Following a straight-up loss, Bob Stoops’ teams are 25-10 against the number in its last 35 games.
