After an embarrassing effort versus Alabama in their season opener, will the USC Trojans rebound on Saturday when they host Utah State at 2:00PM ET?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Trojans are 16.5-point home favorites versus the Aggies while the over/under currently sits at 59.5 points. As of this writing, neither the side nor the total have moved from the original numbers posted by oddsmakers.

USC was shredded by Alabama 52-6 at AT&T Stadium last Saturday night as a 13.5-point underdog. The Trojans led 3-0 early in the first quarter but once the Crimson Tide got into a groove offensively, it was all downhill for USC. New signal-caller Max Browne struggled throughout, completing 14-of-29 passes for 101 yards with no touchdowns and an interception versus Alabama’s stout defense (which also held outstanding wideout JuJu Smith-Schuster to just nine yards on one reception).
Utah State’s opener went more smoothly, although the Aggies didn’t receive much of a fight from FCS member Weber State in a 45-6 rout. Aggies running back Devante Mays needed just 18 carries to total 208 yards on the ground with three touchdowns. Utah State covered easily as a 21-point favorite, while the over 49.5 cashed as well.

OUR EARLY PICK: It’s hard to trust USC to bounce back following the defeat to ‘Bama, especially when Smith-Schuster got into a fight with a teammate earlier this week. Frustration has clearly boiled over for the Trojans and while they might take it out on the Aggies this Saturday, their anger could also be misplaced as well. USC is just 3-14 against the spread in its last 17 games after allowing more than 450 total yards in its previous game. The Trojans are also just 1-6 against the spread in their last seven games overall.
