Cincinnati Bearcats Game Notes

Cincinnati senior quarterback Desmond Ridder completed 20-of-36 passes for 208 yards, one touchdown and one interception in 38-24 win over Indiana. Ridder struggled to get things going for the Bearcats in Saturday’s win over Indiana, but turned things around in the second half. Ridder completed just 12-of-24 passes for 126 yards in the first half, but cleaned things up in the second-half. He threw his only touchdown of the day in the fourth quarter to wide receiver Alec Pierce on a 19-yard pass to put Cincinnati up 30-24, and rushed for another seven yard touchdown to put the game out of reach. He finished the day with 10 carries for 55 yards on the ground. Cincinnati will look to move to 4-0 next Saturday when they travel to Notre Dame to face the Irish.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish Game Notes

Notre Dame senior QB Jack Coan is seemingly on track to play on Saturday after leaving Saturday’s game with an ankle injury. After being fully dressed for practice on Tuesday, Coan (6’3/220) split first team reps in practice with Drew Pyne. Earlier today, head coach Brian Kelly said that Coan “was ahead in his recovery of where the staff thought he would be.” Having Coan against a really good Cincinnati team would be a huge benefit on Saturday in South Bend for the Irish.
