Clemson Tigers Game Notes
Jake Briningstool has been listed as a starter for Clemson’s season opener against Duke next Monday, Christina Long of Greenville News reports. Briningstool has earned the top spot in the depth chart in his third season with the Tigers. The 6-foot-6 junior logged 25 receptions for 285 yards and four touchdowns last season, but following the departure of Davis Allen to the NFL, he should be in line for an expanded workload this season.
Duke Blue Devils Game Notes
Jaquez Moore is listed as a co-starter ahead of Monday’s game against Clemson, Adam Rowe of 247Sports.com reports. Moore is listed alongside Jordan Waters and Jaylen Coleman as the three co-starting running backs ahead of Monday’s season opener. Last season, Moore rushed for 508 yards and five touchdowns. Of the three co-starters, Moore received the least amount of carries (79) among the bunch and may see a similar load in the 2023 season.

Clemson vs. Duke Betting Prediction
I don’t think oddsmakers are giving enough respect to Duke tonight. I know Clemson has a great defense, but there are plenty of question marks surrounding QB Cade Klubnik and the Clemson offense. Duke signal-caller Riley Leonard is a legitimate NFL prospect and while the Tigers might bottle up the Blue Devils’ running game, Leonard will make plays. As for Duke’s defense, the Blue Devils aren’t in the same conversation as Clemson’s group, but they generated a ton of turnovers last season and they’ll be amped playing at home tonight in a primetime spot. I expected this line to favor Clemson, but I don’t see how the Tigers should be a double-digit favorite on the road. Give me Duke.
