Clemson vs. Notre Dame Prediction
No. 1 Clemson will once again be without starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence when the Tigers visit No. 4 Notre Dame tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET. But will that matter as far as the Tigers’ ability to cover as a road favorite?

Clemson Tigers Game Notes
Clemson freshman QB DJ Uiagalelei connected 30-of-41 passes for 342 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday’s 34-28 win over Boston College. Uiagalelei (6’4/250) also ran for 25 yards and another score. The five-star prodigy, filling in for Trevor Lawrence, who tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week, leaned on a trio of Clemson graybeards, Travis Etienne, Cornell Powell and Amari Rodgers. Those three combined to grab 25-of-Uiagalelei’s 30 completions. Uiagalelei was the No. 10 player overall in the 247Sports composite this past recruiting class. If the ACC’s testing protocols deem Lawrence unavailable next week, Uiagalelei will be tasked with trying to continue Clemson’s unbeaten season against Notre Dame.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Game Notes
Notre Dame redshirt senior QB Ian Book completed 18-of-26 passes for 199 yards with a touchdown in a 31-3 win over Georgia Tech on Saturday. Book gave the Fighting Irish an early 7-0 lead on a touchdown pass to Joe Wilkins on the first drive of the game. After that, there wasn’t much action for the 6-foot, 212-pound quarterback, but he was able to keep the chains moving and help Notre Dame stay undefeated. Book has not put up huge passing numbers so far this year, but he doesn’t turn the ball over, and Notre Dame’s defense has been one of the best in the country in this truncated year. Next up is the biggest test of the year, as Clemson travels to South Bend next Saturday. It’s worth noting that Trevor Lawrence (COVID-19) won’t be playing in that game.

Notre Dame, meanwhile, is just 1-4 against the spread in its last five games versus ACC opponents.
