Clemson vs. South Carolina Predictions Against the Spread 11/25/17

Clemson vs. South Carolina Prediction

Will the South Carolina Gamecocks hang with the Clemson Tigers when the in-state rivals meet at 7:30 p.m. ET tonight? Clemson is currently battling for a playoff spot and is a double-digit road favorite tonight.

ODDSMAKERS LIKE: Clemson. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Tigers are 13.5-point road favorites over the Gamecocks, who opened as 15.5-point home underdogs. As for the total, the number currently sits at 46.5 points after hitting the board at that same number.

THE PUBLIC LIKES: South Carolina. As of Saturday morning, 55% of tickets are on the Gamecocks to cover the spread.

HISTORICAL TRENDS LIKE: South Carolina and the under. The favorite has covered the spread in five of the last seven meetings between these two teams but the home team is a perfect 4-0 against the number in the last four meetings. The Tigers are also 2-6 against the spread in their last eight games versus the Gamecocks, who are a perfect 5-0 at the betting window in their last five home games against Clemson.

WHO WE LIKE: South Carolina. The Tigers are just 5-11 against the spread in their last 16 games played in November. They’re also 2-5 against the number in their last seven games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous contest and have failed to cover in five of their last seven road games versus a team with a winning home record.

On the other side, the Gamecocks are 4-1-2 against the spread in their last seven games overall, are 8-2 against the number in their last 10 games versus ACC opponents, and are 4-1-2 against the spread in their alst seven games played on grass.

South Carolina has been a pesky team all season, performing beyond expectations for 2017. I see plenty of value in taking the Gamecocks with the point as a home dog.
