Clemson Tigers Game Notes
Clemson starting cornerback Nate Wiggins is dealing with a bone bruise on his knee, and he’s questionable for Saturday’s game against Syracuse. Wiggins has 4 total tackles, 1 sack, and 1 interception in three games of action this season.
Tigers starting slot receiver Antonio Williams is also questionable for Saturday’s game. Williams missed last week’s game with an ankle injury. For the season, Williams has 15 catches for 145 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Clemson offensive lineman Walker Parks is out for the season with an unspecified injury. Parks started 13 games for Clemson in 2021 and started all 13 games he appeared in last season. The Tigers will have to go the rest of the way without one of their better linemen in 2023.

Clemson vs. Syracuse Betting Prediction
It’s hard to believe in this Clemson team considering their performances against conference opponents so far this season. Clemson lost to Duke 28-7 in Week 1, then lost a heartbreaker at home to Florida State last weekend in overtime, 31-24. The Tigers’ only two wins have come over Charleston Southern and Florida Atlantic. They haven’t proven they can beat anybody good yet.
Syracuse on the other hand looks as scrappy as ever with 8th-year head coach Dino Babers and fifth-year senior quarterback Garrett Shrader. The Orange are 13th in the country in average scoring margin at +23 points per game and they rank 15th in the nation in points per play margin at +0.320. Syracuse typically plays Clemson tough, especially at home, and I like them to do that here. I’ll take the Orange and the points at home in the dome on Saturday.
