Syracuse at Florida State, 12:00PM ET
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag, the Seminoles opened as 21-point home favorites versus their ACC rivals but the line dropped immediately following the announcement that FSU running back Dalvin Cook is out with an injury. Now the point spread sits at 16.5, which is a significant drop considering Cook isn’t a quarterback. Oddsmakers realize how much he means to Florida State’s offense. It’s also been announced that quarterback Everett Golson will not play today due to lingering concussion symptoms. That means redshirt junior Sean Maguire will start against the Orange.
Colorado at UCLA, 3:00PM ET
The Bruins opened as 18.5-point favorites but bettors didn’t feel like that margin was big enough because they bet the number all the way up to 23. UCLA is still banged up, just as its been over the last few weeks. But the Bruins’ demolition of Cal last week caught bettors’ attention and now everyone is ready to hop back on the Josh Rosen bandwagon. Colorado is 1-4-1 against he spread in its last six games overall.
Texas at Iowa State, 7:00PM ET
The Cylones made several changes after losing to Baylor last Saturday. They fired offensive coordinator Mark Mangino and replaced senior quarterback Sam B. Richardson with redshirt sophomore Joel Lanning. A former baseball player and wrestler, Lanning earned a three-star grade from Rivals out of high school and may spark Iowa State’s offense. Despite 66% of public bettors backing Texas, the line in this game dropped from 8 all the way down to 3.5.
Other Line Moves:
Utah opened as a 22.5-point home favorite versus Oregon State but the line was bet up to 27.
Cincinnati opened as a 22.5-point home favorite versus Central Florida but the line has jumped to 26.5 ahead of the 12:00PM ET kickoff.
Southern Miss opened as a 19.5-point fave versus visiting UTEP but the line has jumped to 24.5.
Houston opened as a 14-point home favorite versus Vanderbilt but the line has dropped to 10.5.
Navy opened as a 10-point home favorite over South Florida before the number dropped to 7.
