Iowa hires Greg Davis as OC
DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) – Iowa has named former Texas assistant Greg Davis as its new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
Davis replaces Ken O’Keefe, who left the Hawkeyes after 13 seasons to become the wide receivers coach with the Miami Dolphins.
Davis spent 13 years working for Texas coach Mack Brown before resigning shortly after the 2010 season, when the Longhorns finished 5-7.

The Longhorns boasted some of the best offenses in program history under Davis, who coached the likes of Heisman Trophy winner Ricky Williams and quarterbacks Vince Young and Colt McCoy, both Heisman finalists.
Texas won a pair of Big 12 championships and the 2005 BCS national championship with Davis on its staff. Texas also played in the 2009 national title game and won 10 games every year from 2001-2009.
