According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Seminoles are now 8-point home favorites versus the Wolf Pack after N.C. State opened as a 9.5-point road underdog. The total, meanwhile, opened at 52.5 and has been bet up to 54.
The Records
The Wolf Pack are a respectable 6-3 straight up and a profitable 6-3 at the betting window this season, while the Seminoles are 7-2 overall and 5-4 against the number. N.C. State is also an impressive 4-1 against the spread on the road this season.
The Pick
This is a tough spot for FSU. The Seminoles marched into Death Valley last weekend, held a lead for long stretches of the game, and then wilted in the second half. Now, with no shot at an ACC title, they’ll host an N.C. State team that is 6-3 against the spread and getting 10 points. What happens if Dalvin Cook tweaks his nagging hamstring injury again? Jimbo Fisher has no reason to keep him in the game and risk further injury and without Cook, FSU is a much less effective offense.
