Texas, ND to open season on a Sunday
Texas and Notre Dame are set to kickoff the season in a big way, as they have agreed to play on Sunday.
ESPN has reported that the Irish and Longhorns have agreed to move their season opener in Austin to Sunday night, since the NFL will not have started the regular season yet, in hopes to capitalize on a national audience.

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, a line hasn’t been established for this game, but Notre Dame has 18/1 odds to win the national championship next season while Texas has 100/1 odds to win it all.
Notre Dame is coming off a 10-3 season last year in which it suffered a number of key injuries to skill-position players. That included a 38-3 win at home over Texas in the season opener. The Longhorns are coming off a 5-7 season under Charlie Strong in his second season as head coach. Texas is now 11-14 with Strong as head coach.
