FSU dismisses running back
The Florida State Seminoles have parted ways with running back Mario Pender after a recent arrest.
The team cut ties with Pender on Saturday after he was arrested and charged with domestic battery by strangulation, according to ESPN.com. Pender was also charged with resisting an officer without violence. The Seminoles have said that Pender is permanently dismissed.

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Florida State is currently listed with 14/1 odds to win the College Football Playoffs next season. Ohio State is favored with 7/1 odds while Alabama and Clemson each have 8/1 odds.
Pender was a back that showed some promise for FSU, but couldn’t stay on the field. He appeared in just three games last season, opening the season with 92 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries against Texas State. FSU should be fine at running back without Pender, as they still have Dalvin Cook, who rushed for 1,691 yards and 19 touchdowns in 2015.
