College Football Odds: USC favored to win the Pac-12 8/25/17

Of the Power 5, oddsmakers see the Pac-12 Conference as being the tightest race in the 2017 season. Here is a look at their latest odds to win the crown.

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, USC is the current favorite with -110 odds to win the Pac-12. Other short odds to win are Washington (+180), Stanford (+500) Oregon (+1000) and UCLA (+1000).

USC is coming off a 10-3 record in 2016 with a 7-2 mark in the Pac-12. The Trojans were 1-game out in the South Division. USC has won 38 conference titles in program history. USC has yet to win the Pac-12 Championship Game in six years of its existence.

Washington claimed the conference title last season after going 12-2 overall and 8-1 in conference play. It was Washington’s 16th conference championship in program history and first since 2000.

Stanford posted a 10-3 record in 2016 with a 6-3 mark in the Pac-12. The Cardinal have won a total of 15 conference titles in their history. The last Pac-12 title came in 2015.

Oregon was just 4-8 last year and 2-7 in the conference. The Ducks parted ways with Mark Helfrich and brought in Willie Taggart to take over. Oregon is hoping Taggart can lead them to their 13th conference championship. The last title for the Ducks came in 2014.

UCLA struggled last year, going just 4-8 overall and 2-7 in the conference. An injury to Josh Rosen at QB didn’t help. He is healthy this season and a top NFL prospect. UCLA has won a total of 17 conference titles in its history. The last championship came in 1998.
