We have reached Championship Week in the 2017 College Football Season. Here is a look at the opening odds for the biggest games.
The featured game this week is the ACC Championship Game on Saturday at 8PM ET, which feels like it is a playoff elimination game. Saturday’s contest features No. 1 Clemson taking on No. 7 Miami from Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Clemson is the clear favorite in this game, as the Tigers are getting odds of -7.5 points against Miami. Both teams were 7-1 in the ACC, winning their respective divisions. Miami is 10-1 on the season and 5-6 against the spread while Clemson is 11-1 overall and 7-4-1 against the spread. Clemson has won three of the last five meetings with Miami and the Tigers are 4-1 against the spread in those five games.
Another big game this week is the SEC Championship Game, which will take place on Saturday at 4PM ET from Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. The game features No. 4 Auburn facing No. 7 Georgia. According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Auburn is opening as a 2.5-point favorite against the Bulldogs. These two met a few weeks ago at Auburn and the Tigers earned a 40-17 win as a 2.5-point underdog. Auburn is 10-2 on the season, 7-1 in the SEC and 6-4-2 against the spread. Georgia is 11-1 overall, 5-1 on the road and 8-4 against the spread. Prior to the loss a few weeks ago, Georgia had won and covered the spread in three straight meetings with Auburn.
