Following a surprising loss this past weekend, has Ohio State had their chances to win the College Football Playoffs take a big drop?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Alabama remains the favorite to win it all, as the Tide have +160 odds. Other short odds to win the playoffs are Ohio State (+450), Michigan (+600) and Clemson (+700).
Alabama improved to 8-0 on the season with another impressive win last weekend, beating Texas A&M 33-14. The win, combined with Ohio State’s loss, makes the Tide the clear team to beat in the nation.
Ohio State is coming off a surprising 24-21 loss at Penn State this past weekend despite leading 21-7 in the fourth quarter. Still, Ohio State largely controls its own destiny. Should the Buckeyes win out, they are still very likely to make the playoffs.
