According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Memphis is favored on the road, as the Tigers are getting odds of -14 points against the Huskies. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 73.5 points. Memphis is coming off its first loss, 40-13 at UCF, last weekend. The Tigers are now 3-1 on the season and 1-0 in conference play while going 3-1 with the over. Memphis is giving up 36.3 points and 513.5 yards per game on defense this season, including 321.3 passing yards per contest. Offensively, Memphis is putting up 35.5 points and 459 yards per game this year. Riley Ferguson has thrown for 1,104 yards and nine touchdowns with five interceptions while Darrell Henderson has run for 393 yards and three touchdowns.

Connecticut is 1-3 on the season thanks to a three-game losing streak. The Huskies suffered a 49-28 loss at SMU last weekend. The Huskies are 0-2 in conference play and 3-1 with the over. UConn is struggling on defense, allowing 37 points and 541.8 yards per game. Their pass defense is giving up 379.8 yards per contest. On offense, the Huskies are averaging 27.8 points and 467 yards per game. Bryant Shirreffs is leading the offense with 1,165 yards and eight touchdowns. Arkeel Newsome is adding 15 receptions for 311 yards while Nate Hopkins has run for 223 yards and five touchdowns.

Bet on Memphis vs. Connecticut

The Huskies have been a team that has trended with the under, going 14-3 with the under in their last 17 Friday games as well as five of its last six in October games. UConn has also hit it in six of its last eight home games and 18 of its last 26 after a loss. I think the total has been set too high for this one. While both defenses have struggled, I think they both show better numbers this week due to it being a shortened week.
