Five CFB Teams to Bet Now in Week 7
Betting Week 7? Here are five games to bet now before the line movement takes away all the value.
Washington State Cougars
The line has already moved for Friday night’s Pac-12 matchup between Washington State and California, but it hasn’t moved past the key number of 14 yet. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Cougars opened as 12.5-point road favorites for Friday not but are now -14. The Cougars are off to a great start and have been an excellent bet in this series. Washington State is 7-1 against the spread in its last eight road games versus Cal and 11-5 at the betting window in its last 16 games overall versus the Bears.

South Carolina Gamecoacks
Tennessee is a mess. Two weeks ago the Vols were blown out at home by Georgia and following a bye week, coach Butch Jones decided to bench his starting quarterback. Redshirt freshman Jarrett Guarantano will make his first collegiate start on Saturday versus the Gamecocks after junior signal-caller Quinten Dormady was benched. Now Dormady is “contemplating” his future with the program. The Gamecocks are a 3-point underdog in this matchup but that line might not hold much longer. The underdog is a perfect 5-0 against the spread in the last five meetings between these two teams.
Texas Longhorns
Oklahoma might have been caught looking ahead a week ago when the Sooners fell to Iowa State in Norman. They’ll play Texas in the Red River Rivalry on Saturday and with the point spread sitting at 7.5, now is the time to take the ‘Horns if you like the dog. The Sooners are 0-4 against the spread in their last four games versus the Longhorns, who are a near-perfect 3-0-1 against the spread in their last four games. Texas might be playing its best football of the season, while OU is coming off an inexcusable loss. Lots of value in the dog here.

Texas Tech Red Raiders
The line for Saturday afternoon’s game has already been bet down so much that a lot of the value has been sucked out of the number. Still, I like Texas Tech as an underdog versus West Virginia. The Red Raiders are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games versus the Mountaineers, are 5-1 against the number in their last six road games, and are 6-0 at the betting window in their last six games versus a team with a winning record. Tech quarterback Nic Shimonek is improving by the week and the Red Raiders have their best defense since Kliff Kingsbury has taken over in Lubbock.
Georgia Bulldogs
Assuming the Bulldogs don’t sleepwalk through their game on Saturday night, it’s going to be a bloodbath in between the hedges. Missouri has been horrendous this season, posting one win, which came in Week 1 against FCS foe Missouri State, which hung 43 points on the Tigers in Columbia. Georgia has been one of the top teams in the nation through six weeks and should destroy a Missouri defense that ranks 122nd in the nation in points allowed (40.0). The Dawgs are 30-point favorites in this game and the line will only get higher.
