The Cowboys are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven road games, are 4-1 against the number in their last five games overall, and are 10-4 at the betting window in their last 14 games coming off a double-digit loss at home.

The Red Raiders are 4-1 against the spread in their last five home games, are 4-0 against the number in their last four games overall, and are 5-0 at the betting window in their last five games versus a team with a winning record. OUR PREDICTION: I love taking underdogs in shootouts because if both teams are capable of contributing to the over, then the underdog is capable of hanging within a large spread. Texas Tech is ninth in scoring in all of the FBS and is third in total offense. The Red Raiders are actually playing some defense of late too, allowing 26.3 points per game, which is 17.2 points fewer than its horrendous defense a year ago. Mason Rudolph and Co. should be motivated to put its loss to TCU in the rearview mirror but the Cowboys may also come out flat. It’ll be rocking tonight in Lubbock and I like Tech to hang.
