Maryland is coming off a 31-24 win at Minnesota to improve to 3-1 on the season and 1-0 in the Big Ten. The Terrapins are 3-1 with the over, hitting the over in all three wins. Maryland has been competitive on offense, averaging 38.8 points and 407.3 yards per game. The Terps are down to their third quarterback due to injuries, but Max Bortenschlager has played well. He has thrown for 290 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions and also run for a pair of touchdowns. Ty Johnson is leading the offense with 411 rushing yards and four touchdowns. D.J. Moore is the leading receiver with 30 catches for 403 yards and five touchdowns.
Ohio State is 4-1 on the season and 2-0 in the Big Ten after a 56-0 win over Rutgers on the road last week. The Buckeyes are 3-2 with the over on the season and 2-1 with the under at home. The Buckeyes have been improving on offense each week and now average 42.6 points and 564.8 yards per game. J.K Dobbins has run for 573 yards and three touchdowns to lead the ground game while J.T. Barrett has run for 252 yards while throwing for 1,252 yards and 13 touchdowns. Parris Campbell is the leading receiver with 20 catches for 353 yards. Defensively Ohio State is giving up 16 points and 335.6 yards per contest.
Bet on Maryland vs. Ohio State
Ohio State’s defense and offense seem to be getting better and the Buckeyes can lock in on this banged-up Maryland offense. Ohio State has hit the under in 14 of its last 20 against a winning team and in six of its last seven in October. I see Maryland struggling on offense this week, which puts it all on Ohio State to hit the total. While the Buckeyes are getting better on offense, I am not sure I see another 50-point performance, which is what it may take for the over to hit.
