According to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag, the Trojans are 4.5-point road favorites versus the Golden Bears while the total is now up to 69.5 after opening at 67.5.
The Records
Following its win over previously No. 3 Utah, USC is now 4-3 on the year and 4-3 against the spread having covered as a 6-point home favorite. And after back-to-back losses versus Utah and UCLA, Cal is 5-2 straight up and 4-3 against the spread.
The Pick
The Golden Bears are coming off two straight losses against difficult opponents but there could be a hangover for the Trojans after beating Utah last week. Jared Goff is good enough to beat any opponent but he needs to limit the turnovers after throwing five picks in his last two games. Look for Cal to be focused after getting drummed by UCLA last week. The Golden Bears are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games coming off an ATS loss.
