College Football Week 1: Bettors siding with Alabama over FSU? 8/29/17

Bettors siding with Alabama over FSU

We’re days away from the big Week 1 matchup between Alabama and Florida State. Which side are public bettors on?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Crimson Tide are now 7-point favorites to beat the Seminoles for Saturday night’s 8:00PM ET matchup in Atlanta. Alabama opened as a 7.5-point favorite but the line has been bet down a half-point at most sports books, although if bettors shop around they’ll find the line at 7.5 at some spots.

Bet College Football Futures Odds

Our College Football Public Betting Page shows that 57% of public bettors are laying the points on Alabama. This isn’t surprising with the way the Crimson Tide waxed USC in the opening weekend of the 2016 college football season. That said, unlike the Trojans last year, the Seminoles are a legitimate national championship contender this upcoming season.
