Cards anticipate easier road on East Coast
Last Saturday, Louisville narrowly evaded disaster against Virginia. Will Bobby Petrino’s squad bounce back with an authoritative showing this afternoon?
The No. 7 Cardinals tussle with host Boston College at 12 p.m. ET. Online sports book BetDSI opened UL as a 26-point favorite to whip the Eagles. The over/under is 54.
Louisville needed a Lamar Jackson touchdown pass to Jaylen Smith with 13 seconds remaining – and a two-point conversion – to rally past Virginia a week ago. Despite the close call, though, the squad remains in the College Football Playoff conversation. Jackson & Co. are averaging 50 points per contest.
Contrast that with the frequent futility of BC. Kentucky transfer Patrick Towles has thrown for an average of 143 yards. Things don’t seem drastically better on the ground, either, where leading rusher Jon Hillman boasts 401 yards over seven tilts.
