USC vs. Washington Prediction
Will No. 4 Washington continue to make a push toward the playoffs when it hosts No. 20 USC tonight at 7:30PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Washington is the favorite at home tonight, as the Huskies are getting odds of -7.5 points against USC. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 60.5 points. Washington has won three of the last five against USC, covering the spread in four of those five meetings.
Washington is now 9-0 on the season with a 66-27 win at Cal last week. The Huskies are 6-0 in the Pac-12 and 5-4 against the spread. They have been pretty dominant on both side of the ball this season, averaging 48.3 points and 499.4 yards per game on offense. The defense is giving up just 17 points and 329.8 yards per game. Jake Browning has thrown for 2,273 yards and 34 touchdowns this season but has just three interceptions. Myles Gaskin has run for a team-high 952 yards and eight touchdowns while John Ross has 44 receptions for 742 yards and 14 scores.
USC is coming off a 45-20 win over Oregon last week to move to 6-3 on the season and 5-2 in the Pac-12. The Trojans have won five straight and have covered in three straight. USC is now 5-4 against the spread on the season. The Trojans are averaging 32 points and 476.4 yards per game on offense while the defense is allowing 23.6 points and 373.1 yards per contest. Sam Darnold has thrown for 1,874 yards and 20 touchdowns to lead the offense while Ronald Jones II is the leading rusher with 679 yards and seven touchdowns. USC is playing well right now, but the Trojans haven’t really done anything that Washington hasn’t been able to do as well or better. Washington has been tearing up most defenses and I don’t think USC has enough to stop the Huskies. With this game at Washington, look for the Huskies to win by two scores.
