Vols travel to Vandy for regular-season finale
It’s been a topsy-turvy year on Rocky Top. Yet defeating Vanderbilt tonight could earn Tennessee a spot in one of the SEC’s top-tier bowls.
The two programs square off at 7:30 p.m. ET in Nashville. Online sports book BetDSI opened the Volunteers as 7.5-point favorites over Derek Mason’s group. The over/under is set at 51.
Winners of three straight, Butch Jones’ troops have righted themselves after a 1-3 October. In fact, the school still harbored conference title-game dreams as recently as a week ago. Even though Florida put those to bed by blasting LSU and securing the East Division, UT stands a solid chance of landing in New Orleans (Sugar Bowl) or Orlando (Citrus Bowl).
Vandy would like nothing more than to squash such plans. Most recently, Ralph Webb & Co. obliterated Ole Miss. The junior racked up 123 rushing yards and three scores in that 38-17 victory. Nevertheless, the Commodores must upend Tennessee in order to guarantee their own postseason appearance.

Good luck stopping Josh Dobbs, then. The Vols’ senior signal-caller couldn’t be hotter right now, compiling 13 total touchdowns during the last month. Mason’s prideful defense won’t allow him to post absolutely ridiculous numbers, but the visitors are simply playing too well to ignore.
