Both teams come into the game 1-0 on the season and 1-0 against the spread. Miami picked up a 41-32 road win over Boston College while Kansas State beat Missouri State 51-9 at home. These two met for the first time last year with Kansas State winning 28-24 in Miami.

Kansas State picked up a sizeable win on Saturday, but still allowed 418 yards to Missouri State. The Wildcats only led 16-9 entering the fourth quarter, but piled on the offense late thanks to two turnovers from Missouri State. Collin Klein threw for 169 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 54 yards. John Hubert also led the offense, as he had 152 rushing yards and a touchdown on just 12 carries.
Miami got a big road win last week, but struggled somewhat in the process. The Hurricanes allowed 537 total yards to the Eagles, but forced three turnovers in the process, and returned one interception for a touchdown. Miami did have success moving the ball, as it racked up 415 total yards. Duke Johnson was the top offensive source, as he had 135 rushing yards and two scores on just seven carries. Quarterback Stephen Morris had 207 passing yards on 28-of-45 passing for 207 yards and a score.
In terms of Injuries, Miami offensive lineman Seantrel Henderson is out indefinitely with a concussion while linebacker Gionni Paul is questionable for the game with a knee injury. Kansas State tight end Andre McDonald is questionable for the game due to personal reasons.
