Wyoming vs. Nebraska Prediction
Will Nebraska and Wyoming be able to hit the over when they meet up on Saturday at Noon ET?
According to oddsmakers at Bovada.lv, Nebraska is the clear favorite at home in this game, as the Cornhuskers are getting odds of -24.5 points against Wyoming. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 58 points. These two last met in 2013, with Nebraska getting a 37-34 victory.
Nebraska opened up the season with an impressive 43-10 win over Fresno State last week. The Cornhuskers hit the under in the win, but that was more due to their defensive effort. Nebraska held Fresno State to just 274 total yards and forced two turnovers. Mike Riley’s offense was dictated by a steady run game, as the Huskers rushed for 292 yards as a team. Devine Ozigbo led the way with 103 yards on 17 carries and two scores. Quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. threw just 10 passes, but had 108 yards and a score while rushing for 42 yards and two touchdowns.
Wyoming began the year with a 40-34 home win over typical MAC power Northern Illinois. The game was an offensive showcase, with each team racking up over 460 yards. The Cowboys had a balanced attack, rushing for 243 yards while passing for 245 yards. Josh Allen threw for 245 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 70 yards and a score. Brian Hill added 125 rushing yards and two scores. The concern for Wyoming is they allowed 329 passing yards to NIU.

Nebraska’s defense looked good last week, but isn’t likely to look as good this week against Wyoming. The Cowboys faced a tougher opponent than Fresno State and moved the ball effectively against them. Nebraska should continue to succeed on offense against the Cowboys, but Wyoming should be able to respond more consistently than Fresno did. Look for this to go well over the total.
