Virginia Tech Betting Trends

The Hokies are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games overall and have covered in four of their last five non-conference games. That said, they’re just 8-17-1 at the betting window in their last 26 games in September and is 1-7 against the spread in their last eight road games versus a team with a losing home record.

East Carolina Betting Trends

The Pirates have failed to cover in 26 of their last 35 games overall and have failed to cover in four of their last five home games. They’re also winless at 0-4 against the number in their last four non-conference games and are 0-4 at the betting window in their last four games in September.

OUR PREDICTION: This is a huge number for a road team to cover but East Carolina is horrendous. The Pirates trailed 49-3 at the half last week before West Virginia showed heart and called off the dogs. Quarterback Thomas Sirk also suffered a concussion and is questionable to suit up today. If ECU has to turn back to Gardner Minshew, good luck. I don’t see electric freshman quarterback Josh Jackson and Virginia Tech taking today’s game off and thus, I’ll take the Hokies to roll.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 3 PREDICTION: VIRGINIA TECH HOKIES -22.5
