These two have hit the over in eight of their last 10 encounters.
Bet on Wisconsin vs. Michigan State
The Badgers are off to a 3-0 start to the year with a 2-1 mark against the spread. However, they are coming off a scare last week, just barely edging Georgia State at home. Wisconsin picked up a 23-17 win, but elected to make a change at QB during the game. Bart Houston is out, while Alex Hornibrook steps in. Hornibrook, a 6-4 freshman, has thrown for 183 yards and two scores thus far on the season. A big concern for the Badgers heading into this game is the health of Corey Clement, who missed last week with an ankle injury. He is listed as questionable for Saturday’s game, but is the team’s leading rusher with 197 yards and three scores.
Michigan State showed it should be a force in the Big Ten once again thanks to a 36-28 win at Notre Dame last weekend. The game wasn’t as close as the score indicated, as MSU played a little prevent in the fourth and got outscored 14-0. The Spartans tallied 501 total yards in the win, including 260 rushing yards. On defense, MSU held the Irish to just 57 yards on the ground. Gerald Holmes and LJ Scott combined for 198 yards rushing and three touchdowns while Tyler O’Connor threw for 241 yards and two scores.

The total is awful low in this game, but that is because these two teams are typically strong on defense. However, both have some offensive skill to consider. While Wisconsin shut down LSU, the Michigan State offense is more dynamic and playing at home. The Spartans are tough, but tend to take their foot off the gas at times. That should lead to big plays on both ends. Look for this game to just sneak over the total.
