College Football Week 5 Predictions: Louisville vs. Clemson 10/1/16

Louisville vs. Clemson Prediction

The game of the day in college football will be played at Clemson Memorial Stadium tonight at 8:00PM ET. Will Clemson hand Louisville its first loss?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Tigers are now a 1-point home underdog versus the Cardinals after they opened as a 3.5-point favorite. The total, meanwhile, moved from 67.5 down to 67 at most online and Vegas sports books.

Bet College Football Week 5 Games

The Cardinals are 5-0-1 against the spread in their last six games overall and are 21-5 at the betting window in their last 26 road games versus a team with a winning home record. They’re 6-2  against the umber in their last eight games versus a team with a winning record and 28-11-1 ATS in their last 40 road games.

The Tigers, meanwhile, have covered in four of their last five home games and are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games versus a team with a winning record. They’ve also covered in five of their last seven games overall and are 5-1 ATS in their last six games coming off a straight up win.

OUR PREDICTION: This is the biggest test that Lamar Jackson and the Cardinals have faced on the road and make no mistake, he’s stepping into a hostile environment. Last week Marshall held Jackson to 62 yards rushing but allowed 400 yards and five touchdowns through the air. Clemson will make the same effort to contain Jackson on the ground, only this time the Heisman front-runner will have a much tougher challenge moving the ball through the air. I like the home dog here.
