Week 6 College Football Line Movement

What have been the biggest line movements for Week 6 in college football? Here’s a look at which point spreads have shifted throughout the week.

View Week 6 College Football Odds

LSU vs. South Carolina, 3:30PM ET

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie, the Tigers opened as 12.5-point road favorites when this game was still being played in Carolina. But since the contest was moved to Baton Rouge due to the devastating floods that have occurred in Carolina, the line has jumped all the way up to 19.5. The total has also moved, going from 49 up to 50.

New Mexico State at. Ole Miss, 12:00PM ET

The Rebels opened as a massive 41-point home favorite for this game and the line only increased throughout the week. Now Ole Miss, which suffered its first loss of the season last week to Florida, is a whopping 45-point home favorite for today’s game. New Mexico State is 0-4 on the year and just 1-3 at the betting window.

Michigan State at. Rutgers, 8:00PM ET

The Spartans are a perfect 5-0 on the year but have yet to cover the spread (0-5 ATS). Michigan State opened as a 17-point road favorite and despite 80% of the public betting on the Spartans, they’re now only 13.5-point favorites. They travel to Piscataway tonight to take on a Rutgers team that leads the Big Ten in third-down percentage (50.0) and are second in the league in time of possession (33:43). If the Scarlet Knights can keep the chains moving offensively, they could hand Sparty its sixth straight non-cover.

Miami at Florida State, 8:00PM ET

The Seminoles opened as 10.5-point home favorites but the line has dropped to 7.5 as oddsmakers wait on the playing status of FSU running back Dalvin Cook. Cook dressed for practice this week but is still questionable for tonight’s game due to a hamstring injury. If he does play, this line could jet back up closer to 10. If he doesn’t, Miami might be a live dog in a revenge spot and coming off its first loss of the season (Week 5 to Cincinnati).
