Our Prediction: The Trojans offense is in a rut. Sam Darnold entered the season as the favorite to win the Heisman Trophy and he’s been anything but. His biggest problem has been turnovers, as he has nine touchdowns on the year but he’s also thrown eight interceptions. His fumble in the fourth quarter last week against Washington State sealed the Trojans’ fate. That said, Oregon State lost quarterback Jake Luton three weeks ago and he’s not likely to play today. The defense has also surrendered 142 points over their last three games so if USC can rely on Ronald Jones II, perhaps Darnold will settle in and get back on track versus an overmatched Beavers squad today.
