The Hokies are 4-0 against the spread in their last four games following a loss, are 4-1 against the number in their last five games after accumulating less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game, and are 7-2 against the spread in their last nine games overall. That said, they’re just 2-7 at the betting window in their last nine road games versus a team with a losing home record.

Our Prediction: I just can’t back a Boston College team so inept offensively, even versus a Virginia Tech squad that is coming off a massive letdown after being smoked last week by Clemson. The Eagles aren’t as good defensively as they have been in recent seasons and once Josh Jackson and Co. get going in the second half, this should be a blowout. Bottom line: How is BC going to score against Bud Foster’s defense? The Eagles might hang in the first half but once the adrenaline wears off and the Hokies settle in, the second half should be a blowout.
