Wake Forest Betting Trends

The Demon Deacons have been an excellent bet in conference play, covering in six of their last eight ACC games with one push. They’re also 7-2 against the spread in their last nine road games and have covered the number in seven of their last 10 games coming off a loss.

Clemson Betting Trends

The Tigers are 6-1 at the betting window in their last seven games overall, have covered the number in four of their last five home games, and are 5-1 against the spread in their last seven games coming off a win. They’re a perfect 5-0 against the spread in their last five games when playing a team with a winning record as well.

OUR PREDICTION: The last time Clemson came off a big road victory against a ranked opponent the following week the Tigers came out sluggish. Clemson knocked off Louisville 47-21 as a 3-point road favorite, came home the following week and sleepwalked through a 34-7 victory over Boston College and failed to cover as a 33.5-point favorite. The Tigers thumped Virginia Tech 31-17 in Blacksburg last week and are now big favorites versus a Wake Forest team that has been competitive this season. The Demon Deacons rank second in the ACC in scoring defense while allowing a 14.4 points per game. They’re especially tough against the pass and while I don’t expect Wake to completely shut down Kelly Bryant and Co., I will take the points in what should be a competitive game throughout.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 6 PICK: WAKE FOREST DEMON DEACONS +21.5
