Bet on Wake Forest at Florida State
Florida State narrowly avoided another loss last week when it picked up a 20-19 win at Miami to move to 4-2 on the season and 1-2 in the ACC. The Seminoles are 3-2 with the over in lined totals this year. The issue for FSU this season has been the defense, giving up 32.7 points and 411.3 yards per game. While Florida State has faced some good offensive teams, these numbers are not what Jimbo Fisher has been accustomed to. The offense has been good thus far, averaging 37.8 points and 491.8 yards per game. Dalvin Cook has been the focal point, as he has 785 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground. Cook also has 20 receptions for 345 yards. QB Deondre Francois has thrown for 1,557 yards and nine touchdowns with just two interceptions.
Wake Forest is coming off a 28-9 win over Syracuse last week. The Demon Deacons are now off to a strong 5-1 start with a 2-1 mark in the ACC. They are 3-3 with the over/under total so far. Wake’s defense has been its strength, as it is allowing just 18 points and 367.8 yards per game. Offensively, Wake could certainly be better. The Deacons are putting up 24.3 points and 346.5 yards per game through a balanced attack. They average 170 yards on the ground and in the air. Matt Colburn is the leading rusher with 361 yards while John Wolford has thrown for 826 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 276 yards and five scores.

The total is set low because of what Wake Forest has typically done on defense this season, but you can see that the Demon Deacons gave up 33 points to N.C. State and 28 to Indiana. Though FSU isn’t a great defensive team, the offense still is very dangerous. Cook and Francois should be able to put up quite a few points, especially at home. Wake should also be able to compete with FSU in scoring due to the Seminoles’ poor defense. Look for this game to be a high-scoring battle.
